Naked On School during the zombie apocalypse

Not that I want to live through the zombie apocalypse in the first place, but it strikes me as a particularly bad time to go through your Program Week.

If a zombie apocalypse kicked off, you would be a little safer on the school than in the school. (Whilst you worked out where to go and how to get there)

I've never really be able to suspend enough disbelief to buy into the NIS program, but I have to think that everyone would agree it's okay to put some damn clothes on if there's a zombie apocalypse.

Assuming a zombie apocalypse in the NIS universe, I'm pretty sure a the zombie apocalypse would effectively cancel the program.

You assume reasonable school administrators instead of bureaucrats.

Didn't they make those illegal way back in the 20th century?

In that, I fully agree.

TO me, it seemed like simply a lazy way to throw together a story full of teen sex, without having to go to the trouble of actually building characters and a world.

Now that is NOT to knock the original idea, but that is largely what it has turned into. "Hey, no need to explain anything! We just tie it to NiS, and we can have 16 year old's boinking on page 3 without an issue of believability!"

At least the Summer Camp series seemed to expect the women to wear panties when the women were menstruating. In 98% of NiS stories, don't you dare wear anything, ever!

What if the only way to avoid a zombie bite was to remain naked ?

Zombies ignore nude bodies. The zombies always shred their own clothes.

In walking Dead, the zombies ignore people who have blood on them.

So it stands to reason that someone might figure out how to survive the zombie apocalypse being naked, start a little community and then a survivor arrives and has to adjust.

As to NIS, sometimes it is a little bit but the concept of teaching kids to accept their bodies and not freak out about nudity isn't that difficult to understand. There are plenty of examples of nudist resorts with the same mentality and families live there full time

So you know nudist resorts where it's accepted behavior to center out one (or a few) individual(s), and stare, grope, and/or masturbate the one(s) so centered out?

Anyone who's read more than one or two NiS stories realizes that the 'reasonable request' rule (as well as the participants forced individuality, as it's exceptionally difficult for someone naked to blend in perfectly to a group of clothed individuals - particularly when in high school and group membership is most often displayed by clothing conformity) is the source of either a vast number of unintended consequences (or a completely intended example of at best depraved indifference or worst child abuse by proxy).

Dominions Son ๐Ÿšซ

@bk69

I agree, if it was really about "the concept of teaching kids to accept their bodies and not freak out about nudity" they would make the entire school a clothing free zone, including the faculty and staff.

@bk69

No, I don't believe nudist resorts do that. I am saying they just accept nudity - see it as non-sexual "Just skin" and teach body acceptance.

You are quite right - the groping is over the top.

However, since we are talking a fantasy story about zombies, a fantasy situation where zombies can't discern when you don't wear clothes isn't that far out.

If we can accept a super hero can turn invisible and somehow their clothes do it too, etc we have to suspend disbelief. IF Hulk can transform and somehow his underwear and pants stretch with him, then when transforms back they shrink back, etc. We've got to as an audience accept that or avoid the story.

Personally, I love the NIS stories but the more plausible the better. In an over the top scenario where it feels more like hazing than educating - I'd at least like the teachers to know the difference.

I'd at least like the teachers to know the difference.

Yeah. Most times they do... But in those stories one of two explanations- teachers are given instructions to follow the progtam materials as they've been handed out 'or else' (although given the fact the teachers union would prevent ANY punitive action cor anythingg, up to the violent rape of multiple students, just what exactly they worry about is odd) or the teacher is a closet sadist and/or voyeur wanting to at least watch the students if not fuck them.

Well, usually i don't comment much on NIS related posts because the idea of this particular universe is a little absurd to me. But i think it's accurate to say it would turn out something like the manga.

Heh. Of course there's a manga.

The NIS premise is completely absurd. The best NIS stories are those where the author knows this but completely commits themselves to it anyway.

Well i have two comments to this:

First I mention the manga i did in my previous post because i think it comes close enough to the subject of the OP to qualify as "close enough to shave some of the stubble off of your face."

Second is that i understand what you're saying, but it's sad to say i'm not that creative enough to do that.

Eh. Some kinds of stories, it's not in some authors to write. That's not sad (unless you feel sad about it) but a reflection of how diverse people and stories are - a diversity that is glorious.

I was always skeptical of this storyline because back in my school we wore our coats all day long because the lack of a heating budget combined with a poorly insulated concrete precast school and the typical common winter temperatures of -10 below fahrenheit demanded such. Even the teachers wore coats. :-)

For someone from LA, it is.

Yeah, we both know 41 degrees is Tshirt weather, but the plastic people think anything below 80 is cold.

Also, deserts get cool quickly at night (water vapor and bodies of water are great heat sinks in the day and heat sources at night that deserts tend to lack). Figure the high is much closer to the schooltime temps.

And 60 is just cool enough that clothes aren't uncomfortably warm.

You need to accept it's a alternate reality, and some things are gonna be different than normal people would expect... but still, the best stories are the ones where the authors work around the flaws of The Program. One author basically destroyed the Program by having the USMC take a stand against it, and then having the bureaucrats running it go down for ties to a child sex-trafficking ring.
Another used The Program to introduce some pretty dark shit - SI, suicide, mental illness, etc.
