Sperm Donation story

I'm thinking of working on a story about a guy who doesn't believe he'll ever be lucky enough to ever get a girlfriend or even sleep with one and get her pregnant. He thinks things over for a long time and decides to donate to a sperm bank. Even if he has no contact with the child he just wants to have a child out there. Unknown to him a friend of his works at the sperm bank and uses the sperm for herself or a friend if the one who works at the sperm bank is male maybe he contacts a friend or even his sister or the donor's sister. I don't know much about the dealings with a sperm bank so would anyone be able to help with those details?

That's generally not recommended because of potential of abuse by lurkers. For authors, it's easy enough to send a reply, though it may be necessary if you're trying to reach another reader. If that's the case, list it as "name at sever dot extension" so no automated bots can pick it up.

That was always a nice feature of the older Google forum, you could always right click the "Respond to" button and send a private message only the two of you could read.

I'm being naughty, but the phrase always makes me wonder about a run on a sperm bank. Serious comments follow.

My experience with blood banking did provide me with much humor, especially at lunch:

"Mommy, mommy, what's a vampire?"
"Shut up and eat your soup before it clots."

Do I understand your premise is that the guy gets sperm into the bank, without the usual screening, so he has a child? Or is it that a worker there knows him and wants to have his child?

He may have gone through proper procedures maybe not, preferably he did, if not it wasn't his doing. But someone he knows or knows of him kind of took the sperm without their boss' knowledge or permission. So the guy did nothing wrong.
