By 'transform into' I presume you mean that she can change her appearance to exactly mimic the female she sees.?
What very few address is that simply adopting the size/shape/outward appearance isn't enough. By the time girls (or boys) reach high school age they have learned many skills we take for granted, many require muscle memory to a greater or lesser degree.
Having a shapeshifter transform into a high school girl and instantly know how to walk in high heels, (for example) simply isn't creditable. Yes I know that one shouldn't let simple facts get in the way of a story, but maybe more authors will address such things. Some have, such as Morgan's story Kathy who whilst not a shapeshifter, does possess abilities that are reasonably explained/justified.
