I am mostly interested in once the correction is complete - how does the wife return to behave around her husband, kids, mother in law, and so on.
I think the "before" on the stepford wife kind of law/mandate by the government idea needs to be added in as well.
It's because in a story like that, knowing the background of the "errant wife" and how she came to the correction center lures the reader into reading more as long as you write the right synopsis to the story. It's like that rule of thumb of authors "every story needs a hero to love." The same is also true i think "every story needs a villain to hate."
On that basis, the pleasure in reading a bdsm story like this mostly comes from the errant wife (aka villain) being broken down in various ways and turned into a "stepford wife" or eager to please submissive.

If this is a story where the law is new and the wife was normal.
Or simply that the husband was far too lax, and let his wife have certain dignities and priveledges, and now that his family is visiting he can't permit that.
Or maybe she is just rebellious and remembers a time when women weren't expected to behave.
