Those with a significant male/female imbalance. Although though they value women less, the shortage means that men have to resort to methods we find abhorrent in order to obtain a breedable woman - kidnapping or buying other men's wives are two of the options.

Can you be more specific as to which countries etc? And how is it similar to those sales described in the video?
The video explains how it happened in England because of marriage laws etc. The video even cites rare examples of husbands being sold too.

You likely won't find a match like that. History and customs vary greatly depending upon the country/region and culture involved. India's Stree-dhan has zip to do with a dowry as it's sold to the public if they are out of the way somewhere. Then again, in those same places, they still toss two year olds off fifty foot towers for 'luck' into the crowd below. The unlucky are shit out of luck. India alone makes for interesting research. Mangal dosh has been known to cause marriages between women/trees/dogs. Being born under the influence of Mars sucks if you a village woman out in the Indian boonies.
Remus, it feels like you replied off the cuff to the original post title without watching the video and now you're trying to make what you said in some sense true.... ;)
The wife selling I find so fascinating in the video last happened in England in ... the 1920s! Really, that video is fascinating!
In general, I think I have a fairly wide exposure to the various cultures, both from visiting and reading, but I've never heard of any tradition of wife selling. Paying for the privilege of a girl to become your wife, yes. Buying another man's wife? Never heard of it before.
So if there really is some country culture somewhere where a wife of one man can be sold to another, links would be welcome.

I did watch it. I don't have to make true what already is.
What you're missing is, the idea was not unique to England. It happened in America, most of Europe, England, damn near everywhere in Asia, the middle east, South America, etc.
It still happens even today. You of course can choose to believe it or not, but don't go making any bets on the latter until you've opened your mind and researched for yourself.
Just one link that confirms that somewhere, nowadays, men buy others men's wives. That's all you have to provide to prove your claim...
Nope, I'm not your research assistance. Calling me a liar doesn't make me willing to be one either. I don't personally care what you believe.
Nope, I'm not your research assistance.
That's bull shit. YOU are making claims. Claims that require proof. Put up that proof or stop making the claims.

I've done my research and witnessed real life in various locations.
As a mental exercise, I took half an hour, and between Google and DDG, was able to find several cases.
Better yet, I left a bread crumb trail Stevie Wonder could follow. Further is this statement:
You likely won't find a match like that. History and customs vary greatly depending upon the country/region and culture involved.
Which is a fact and in response to this:
Can you be more specific as to which countries etc? And how is it similar to those sales described in the video?
The video in question was historically based and specific to UK history. Thus the caveat of finding a match that reflects UK history.
As for your opinion, and calling bullshit, I don't give a tinker's damn. If someone can't be bothered to look it up, I can't be bothered to do their research for them. However, I'll throw you another bone in case you need further bread crumbs.
It's happened in the past, and again, in some parts of the world, still happens in various ways today for various reasons.

Ask yourself what social and cultural cues that magistrate was steeped in, to make him think it was okay to suggest/order such a thing? It's because it happens there. The only reason it ever came to light was someone recording it.
I spent six weeks in Patna India on a consultant basis for Dina Iron. Which brings up another reality. A direct link stating "we sell wives here" isn't going to happen anywhere in the world. However, if you visit there, the culture actions and words of those living where that incident happened, makes it clear where that magistrate got the idea. You won't see it in Patna, but you damn sure will in the rural areas of the Bihar state.
Then there is the incidents both AJ and I mentioned regarding China.

That's before we get to selling off people for debt which some Chinese find acceptable.
That is the last I'll say on the subject. There were people here taking the piss out of me for posting links to back up what I said. Now it's because I didn't. This will be the last time here, as I simply don't care what you think or believe, especially if you can't be bothered to do your own research.
If someone can't be bothered to look it up, I can't be bothered to do their research for them.
It's not our research to do to prove YOUR claims.
You don't like it. Stop making claims.
Can you be more specific as to which countries etc?
China is the main culprit due to a perfect storm of the one child policy and gender abortion.
I have to confess I haven't watched the video - I have no sound on this archaic PC so I never bother.

Some areas of India, China, Middle East, and parts of SE Asia. Some South American tribes use to but I couldn't confirm they still do.
In some of those areas, the trafficking of persons still happens. This latter part is far more prevalent than wife selling. Particularly parts of China where farmers and others purchase North Korean, Laotian, Cambodian, and Vietnamese women for wives. That's not to single out the Chinese except to note it's becoming more frequent as the disparity between men:women ratio climbs.
Mentioning the above in recent years has tended to send the politically correct into apoplectic fits of triggered outrage, but it doesn't change the truth of it.
