Intellectual exercise #2 needing input from some lawyer types

Now i'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but if i'm wrong i apologize in advance.

Well i've been brainstorming for a story i'm writing and I guess i want some input from a lawyer type's perspective on the fictional scenario I have in mind.

During a female laywer's work day various vicious gang type looking men show up to sign over their property to her client or significant other. But enough of these types of people show up any reasonable person would start asking questions.

So i guess my question is what do i need to keep in mind as i'm writing this?

I've no idea what your story plot is. A bunch of thugs showing up in a court ordered setting is an everyday occurance in criminal cases.
So is this criminal or civil law? Prosecution, defense, marriage, civil injury, patent infringement, land rights, ad nauseam, what form of law is involved?

General property law from the description.

The real questions depend on what kind of property and how much.

I don't think this raises any kind of red flags unless they are signing over all their assets. Then it becomes why, are they being coerced and is the lawyer in on it.

No. I have taken an undergraduate level business law course meant for business majors, not law students. I know a bit more than the average lay person, but for real legal advice contact a real lawyer.

You just mentioned the two key words in this - reasonable person.

Lawyers are not necessarily reasonable persons. They are like any other profession, they are hired to do a task. While it may make her wonder what's going on, so long as she is not asked to violate any laws that, as an officer of the court, she could not ethically do, then she would file the paperwork.

And the thing is - since she's been hired to do so and what she's doing is NOT violating the law, so long as she doesn't have reasonable suspicion that her clients are violating the law in their property transfers, she can't say squat to anyone else. That's why there's lawyer-client privilege.
