I'm wondering, are fanfiction erotic story ideas or stories allowed here? Because I have an idea involving some Capcom fighting game characters but I don't know if storiesonline allows for fanfiction erotic stories.

Yes.
There is a tag for fan fiction and around 762 stories tagged as fan fiction. I originally tried to include a link to a category search for fan fiction, but it didn't work.
Strange.
Any reason why that didn't work? Are there categories for fanfiction as well?

Here's a link to the list of categories:

If you tag as Fan Fiction, Magic, School, Teenagers and whatever else applies I think people will have a good idea of what you're fan fiction story is based on - and you can say more in the Description area. But I don't see any tags for specific fan fiction story groups, just the general one.
If you do show a story as fan fiction then please also state what it relates to in the prΓ©cis/blurb. The majority of fan fiction stories I see here give no indication of what /who /where they relate to and so are potentially skipped over by those who may have an interest.
Sorry, overlapped with Ernest's response.....
Using an improbable example, if it is fan fiction relating to the Hobbit then people would recognize Hobbit, Bilbo or Gollum, but not necessarily Smaug or SmΓ©agol. Most of the time I have no idea from the title or info what the writer is actually a fan of when it is shown as fan fiction.

Nope, no idea why. The link went to an unfiltered story list instead of requested category search.
I see.
Hm regarding fanfiction do you guys also allow crossover fanfiction stories, like characters from different series interacting with each other?
I apologize for not having mentioned just what my idea for a story with a Capcom fighting character (more specifically Morrigan Aensland from Darkstalker) involves yet but this is just something I just thought about and wondered. The crossover question I mean.

I think they're allowed. Only Lazeez can really answer that, but I don't think it'll be a problem.
Cool.
Tell me, do people here know about Morrigan Aensland from Darkstalkers? Because I think my idea would be easier for someone to write if they're familiar with her.
Morrigan Aensland from Darkstalkers
Do you say that or spray it? I've never heard of either, don't know about anyone else!

She was in a lot of Capcom fighting games though she first appeared in the Darkstalkers series.
I'm starting to suspect people here may not be familiar with any Capcom fighting games or with Morrigan.

Look for Johnny Pulaski by Joe J. He has his own story and is mentioned almost en passant in Twice Lucky (I think it is III).
There is a third story "If I hadn't Been There" by Joe J which brings Johnny Pulaski and Mikayla Turner (from Twice Lucky III) together on ASSTR. The stories are totally separate, not a series.
The name occurs in "A Fresh Start" but it is not the same person
It's a Capcom fighting game series from the 1990s with some characters who started in the various Marvel vs Capcom games: http://darkstalkers.wikia.com/wiki/Darkstalkers_(series)

Sorry, I got that from your early post saying that - I was attempting a little droll humour here.

Very little. Though some IRS agents might be insulted that you thought them so low on the totem pole of evil. Around here we usually call them the Infernal Revenue Service.
Infernal Revenue Service.
There's a nice science fiction series where they're known as (official title too) The Eternal Revenue Service.

The double edged sword of fanfics is that people not familiar with the property aren't likely to read them, while people that are familiar with the property will often be very, very pleased to see them.
There are some sites I could name that specialize in fanfiction erotica, but most of the normal erotica sites have plenty of it too.
There are generally two more or less reliable (categories of) places to find fanfic erotica (read porn), erotica sites and fanfic sites.
Adultfanfiction is one of them right? What's the other?
Archive of our own is another, which is not primarily erotica fanfic but does have it. And then there's Hentai foundry, which is mostly erotic fan art, but has a stories section as well, which is mostly fanfic.
Though like I said, the general sites have plenty too, and the fanfic sites have some original material as well.
Personally, if I was writing a fan-fiction story, I'd include the original source in the title (ex: "Star Wars: The Phantom Farce").
As for whether it's allowed or not, in general it is, but with fan fiction, you're gambling on copyright acceptance. If the original copyright holders object, it'll be pulled immediately! Many magma series have discovered that fan-fiction stories boost the series readership, rather than diminish it, but those decisions are made one a case-by-case basis.

That's probably a good plan.
The fanfiction-based sites do generally have site subdivisions for the major series, so you wouldn't necessarily have to there, but anywhere else it would be helpful.
Some sites would not welcome a parody called Star Warts, or Star Drek. Fan is related to Fanatic, even though mangled backward fan attic is attic fan. Its best not to make fun of things people feel strongly about. Once upon a time fans were used to cool things off. Now Fans are hotbeds of enthusiasm.
