Happily married man in his prime dies in a car accident. He gets reincarnated, with all his memories, in the body of a dog. He tracks down his wife (and family), wheedles his way into her life and eventually her bed.

Simply a sick idea.
With modern English, I have no idea whether that's congratulatory or condemnatory.
The idea is so generic, I wouldn't be surprised if stories already exist.
As for telepathy, don't all dogs have telepathy? :-)

Disney has done the exact thing, not just with dogs, but with Volkswagen Beetles too. However, Disney has never written an x-rated version of the story on SOL.
However, the focus makes the difference, as in the Disney films, you could hear the dog's thoughts (though I'll admit, I haven't seen either film in quite a while), so it was more a different focus.
Besides, who, with his dying breath, prays to be reunited with his loving wife, so he can 'give his ex' his BONE! Geez! ;)
That said, simply 'boning' your wife seems to miss the point, instead most would focus on being 'near' their families and supporting and protecting him, rather than merely getting their jollies and then being locked to their bitchy spouses for a hour at a time afterwards. Now THAT's a nightmare vision of a bitchy ex if I've ever heard one.
So, maybe if the wife was the one Boning her reincarnated dead ex, then that would be quite an enjoyable 'revenge' fantasy. Or, consider him also being reincarnated as a bitch himself, so instead of boning his ex, instead he'd he the faithful family pet, getting boned by whoever the local alpha-dog happened to be, be it male OR female, while his kids would also be yanking his tail on a daily basis.

Yet.

1977 film The Rescuers was found to contain an image of a topless woman which somehow went largely unnoticed by audiences when the movie was initially released. However, observant viewers caught the X-rated image on the home video version in 1999, leading to a widespread recall.
Also the original cover art on the 1989 VHS tape The Little Mermaid had a very phallic looking tower.
Of course you also have Touchstone Pictures a film label created by Walt Disney Studios that in an effort to release films targeted at adult audiences with mature content not appropriate for the studio's flagship Walt Disney Pictures banner.
And one of the original Disney artists (of the original Mickey Mouse cartoon) created a pornographic image that was fairly widely distributed, but that was an individual, not Disney.
These things crop up from time to time, though it's hard to tell what's an accident and what's organized by random individuals. Phallic towers though, not so much.
I've just been reminded that some elements of the story idea (although not the car accident and resurrection as a dog) appear in 'Witches & Werewolves' by KKindle.
