I know there are plenty of gaming stories out there, as well as isekai stories. But I personally have never run across one that effectively showcases both.

What I would like to see (either through recommendations for an existing story or an author using this prompt to write a new story) is a story that combines a fantasy RPG style with an Isekai story in a manner that showcases the fantasy interaction, training and growth of the MC/party, progression through a storyline, social interactions, etc.
My personal thinking in the RPG style is similar to things like Everquest, Final Fantasy 1, Zelda etc. Those games focused on the growth and training of the MC and progression through the storylines. Not interested personally with the WoW-style or later FF game-style.

I also do not like purported fantasy RPGs that have guns, mechanized robots, etc. To me, those don't fit the thematic story in a pure fantasy setting.

The "Unorthodox Farming" series by Benjamin Kerei touches on some of what you're looking for. As I recall the protagonist is from our world & wakes up in a fantasy world, it has the GameLit elements of seeing how the system works, and there's a LOT of social stuff.

In fact, much of the protagonist's later success is made possible due to his discovering an exploit in a social system and later sharing it with key nobles he's willing to ally with.

It's not on SOL, though, this is an Amazon sold series. A few of the author's books are dead tree, but I think they're MOD since they aren't available on non-Amazon sellers.
