The female MC, and possibly other females is/are inflicted with a curse of serial mortality.
She can die, but she doesn't stay dead. Even if her body is completely destroyed, she will wake up the next morning (or maybe some fixed amount of time after she died) in the last place she went to sleep, perfectly healthy. Her old body still exists after her resurrection.
That's a very gamer friendly type of immortality, she's just respawning.
Taking it to the purity of that, there's only a set number of places she may respawn from, regardless of where she had deceased, not necessarily selected by vicinity; could as well be random.
Now, a pervert like me would suggest one of such places to be a shower room... in at least somewhat public-ly setting, say, at school.

I explicitly set it to where she last fell asleep to make it more difficult to use suicide to escape if kidnapped or jailed.

And eventually, she may use that mechanic to create save points. For how long she has to nap to fix her next exit point to a street corner cafe booth?

I had been thinking a full "night's" sleep, but less could create an interesting dynamic.
If it's short enough for a quick nap to reset her respawn point, that would make staying awake for a long time if captured to avoid resetting the respawn point that much harder.
And if she uses always respawns nude, that would create issues if she uses a quick nap to deliberately set her respawn point somewhere public.

Short enough and trying to manage sleep beyond a day or two could easily lead to some accidental exit points. Even not necessarily so short, one may easily nap for hours on a buss or train or backseat of some car.
Or, on a different thought, she may sometimes be so stressed she needs sex to fall asleep...
And, well indeed, it's only "logical" she does respawn nude. Sure, Hollywood would make clothes she's in at the time to come back too, but then we have to determine how far and how many objects she carries are doubled with her, and it's soo much more complicated, for the magical mechanism... (lol)
Now, only... why she's so hunted to die so often...
...although, as soon it's figured out by the wrong people... there's a lot of understandable interest. Like, from the most realistic crash dummy to very special burgers...
But of course, if she's been kidnapped for a star role in a snuff film and the perpetrators then notice she's around next day as if nothing happened they may freak out at first and try to kill to silence, but soon decide she's the perfect actress for their industry. Then... government agencies and associates, like terrorist networks may see the obvious benefits of such a soldier. So yes, she may grow very popular.
Now, only... why she's so hunted to die so often...
She could start out as some kind of superhero/supervillian. Her first respawn would of course be triggered by an accidental death. After that she could go into dangerous situations without fear of death.
Either way, that sort of thing would earn her enemies...
ETA: Another thought is she starts out as a cop, first death/respawn on the job. That could set up an interesting scene with her viewing her own body in the morgue.
I think she won't start that way but would rather grow into superhero type after being abused. Kinda an vengeance angel...
She could specialize in suicide attacks.
Villian: "What are you doing, you are going to kill us both."

The TV series Forever (2014) had a very similar premise, except that rather than a specific location it was a type of location. Every time he dies he wakes up the next day, naked, in the nearest large body of water.
