"Umm..Mr. Stevens?"
The sound of the soft voice distracted me from the papers I was grading. I glanced up at the shy, attractive 15 year old standing beside my desk, clutching nervously at a folder.
"Yes Kari? What do you need?"
"I wanted to ask you something about your contract with the school, Sir. Do you remember the clause on assisting your students in any way possible to discover and develop their potential talents?" Her fingers were flexing repeatedly on the folder she was holding as she asked her question.
A few years ago a large consortium of companies successfully pushed through several changes in contract law due to the massive costs of abandoned debts. The biggest change was the penalty for breaking a contract of any sort: a large fine and a minimum of 10 years in prison. The first few cases successfully prosecuted in court brought contract law into public awareness in a way that was unprecedented. Now every line of every contract was gone over extensively and strictly enforced. With such a spotlight on enforcement of the contracts, the school system had started holding mandatory reviews and lectures for every teacher on the contents of their school contracts. So of course I had no problem immediately identifying the clause Kari had asked about.
"Sure Kari. I know that clause. Why do you ask?"
She blushed as she shyly handed me the folder. "I need your help. I want to be a writer and am having trouble with one of my scenes. I need you to review it and help me learn what I need in order to fix it."
I smiled as I replied "Be glad to help."
I opened the folder and started to do a quick read-through of the story within. A few seconds later, my smile faded as my jaw slowly dropped open and I lifted my eyes to the blushing teen.
"Kari...this is a sex story!"
"I know. That is what I am interested in writing about. But I have no experience with sex and can't get the scene right. So I need you to teach me!"
