A question of how you would write this? 6/9/22

blackjack2145309 ๐Ÿšซ

Okay here's something that I've been contemplating as of late...

Let's say our "protagonist" inherited a small film company...

Wait for it...

That turned out to be a small scale porn company...

The reason for this contemplation, if anyone is wondering, is because while i was writing my story, it occurred to me that you can get away with a fair amount of sh*t under the cover of a movie company...

AND IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE TO BE PORNO RELATED!

Allow me to make this argument....

In the story i'm writing, the antagonist has two of his men come in with M249 machine guns shooting up the home of the protagonist.

Yet there is no sign of the police?

Why you ask?

Because they've been turned away by fake cops cordoning off the area under the guise of crowd control for the movie permit set up by this "movie company"

Maybe i'm missing something though...

What do you people think?

Oh and feel free to post any porno related "the protagonist inherits a small scale adult film studio" because i'd love to hear some and I'm also looking for stuff along those lines for my own story...

:)

Fin..

I think the movie company would need a permit to film at that location so the real police would not listen to the fake police.

What i mean by "fake cops" is people pretending to be actual police officers not any security rent a cops

didn't i explain that point with this?

And short of mind control or bribery such "fake cops" are not going to fool the real cops.

Base it in Texas. The real police will hear the gunfire and keep well away.

As long as it's a non-white part of town.

Otherwise yeah - events get permits, and then someone from the force is there, and everyone inside the area knows what's up, and you don't do shootouts in residential areas. You use set locations for that.

Someone would call the police, who would see they have no one there, and so they'd send someone there to investigate.

Set the same scene in a less used part of town - a warehouse, and maybe they could pull off crowd control long enough to act.

A story doesn't have to be realistic, but if you want it to be, then you hit realistic limits.

Then again until recently the idea that cops would go on a coffee break while someone went on a murder rampage in an elementary school right in front of them, with police only acting to keep parents and others from going in and stopping the killer, seemed absurd, yet here we are.

(And just the other day, I read another article where police pinned a woman down so she couldn't save her husband from drowning just a few feet away, while the cops taunted the dying man. So this is becoming the new normal.)

Not likely to happen as when the cops report on the radio they'd be told there are no real cops there, so they'd then draw their firearms and arrest them. If the fakes claimed to be feds that would be checked, for the same results.

The movie company cover idea doesn't wash with reality. Neither does the premise of fake cops.
There are neighborhoods where the sound of auto fire would not draw the real cops in. Chicago, parts of DC and LA, etc. NYC and ATL have joined that club in the last few years.
