Last saw a chapter during early Covid
Story is https://storiesonline.net/s/74251/flight-of-the-code-monkey by https://storiesonline.net/a/Kid_Wigger unfortunately Incomplete and Inactive (Last Activity: 7/29/2019, 2:41:32 PM).
So last chapter was some 6 months or so before first news about Covid.

I have emailed Kid Wigger twice since he stopped posting. Never got a reply. His email is still active though.

I know, that's why I mentioned it. I recall that he was studying for exams, college/university I think, so he's probably not at an age where that might be a concern.
His last blog post (2019) mentions his 99 year old mother, so you are probably thinking of someone else.

He might have been a returning student, but he's at least in his early 60's based on comments he made about what he was doing in the early 80's. With his mother's age pegged at 99 in 2019, I'd imagine it was closer to 65 than 60.

I missed that comment but if he's still studying I must assume he's in good health, even if around 65.
Age doesn't preclude attending college. If I could find a program not rift with unnecessary requirements, I would probably go back myself. By unnecessary, I mean heavy on social topics, politics, or literature. STEM doesn't really need that except maybe architectural engineering. Even then, it shouldn't be more than a third of the curriculum.
Last I heard from KW, he was taking care of his family, specifically his mother. That would naturally take precedence over posting a story.
