Lost Manufacturing Story

dougb ๐Ÿšซ

I just reread one of my favorite stories here, "Six-month Turnaround" by Morgan. A story about a man who turns around an auto parts manufacturer. It reminded my of another story here but I have forgotten the name. As I recall, a man is brought in to turn around a small appliance manufacturer. One of this ideas was to bring back some worker's pride by having them sign the items they built. Such as a toaster, etc. Does anyone remember this story?

And it was an automatic drip coffee maker first. It focused on pride in quality and workmanship and the equitable treatment of employees. It's a great story and we seem to be heading toward the conditions of the story beginning more and more.

Thank you for your responses. I think "Service-Society" is the one I was looking for but I will need to read a bit first before I can be sure. I sure does sound like it though. And qqqq thank you for the story recommendation. I look forward to reading it soon.
