EMT on a dig in Egypt, gets transported back to ancient Egypt.

krsm67 ๐Ÿšซ

The story that I am looking for is one about an EMT that gets offered the job of being the medical person on an archeology dig in Egypt, They find a "secret" chamber and during the periods that the EMT, the "BOSSES" daughter and her assistant, they are transported back to ancient Egypt and seem to be the "resistance" to the powers that be.

I have no idea if it was ever completed.

Thank you

That was going to be the sequel to Joe J's Johnny Pulaski titled If I Hadn't Been There. When he actually got around to writing it it changed considerably and is titled Johnny Pulaski and the Cult of Amun-Ra.

Unfortunately indeed. I've loved JoeJ's stories. He also never finished Twice Lucky. He's made no secret of his dislike of SOL's scoring system. Still, while he may have a beef with the site, it's his fans who pay the price by missing out on his great writing.

I've long wished he would write a story featuring Angie from Twice Lucky, starting with her disappointing date, through her escapades with her brother, and continuing with her showcasing her gift for finding, seducing, and controlling submissive girls and women.

But hey, he doesnt owe us anything. It's not like he's paid for this. I do wish he'd reconsider though. He may not like some things about the site, but there are much worse.

@Jedd11

doesn't the author have the option of turning off the scoring system?

They do, but if he had scoring turned on and was upset with the scores and how they were calculated he could have just turned it back off. IIRC he was more than a little upset and decided it just wasn't worth the hassle.

rougher63 pulled his stories - for a while - as a protest against changes in the scoring system, he considered them to be manipulation.
This all started around the beginning of 2007. He re-posted his Rob Jenkins stories starting mid 2010 and I think he died half a year later.

Should have learned his lesson the first time. Laz don't fuck around!

Easy to say as an outsider.
Lazeez was trying to solve multiple problems:
- score inflation, scores were drifting upwards and had long left the guidelines.
- 1-bombing.

What are the guidelines? 1="You call this a story?" thru 10="Most amazing story". Most people overrate by 1-2 points, I know that the scores I give out relate to each other more than to the guidelines.
Newer stories were benefiting from this inflation while older ones were out of luck. Of course, a lot of the older stories deserved their lower scores but that is a different matter.
I liked the 3-part scoring system (Technical Merit, Plot, Personal Appeal) but apparently most votes were along the lines of 7-7-7, 9-9-9 and so on. (I gave out something like a 10-7-1 once, when I realised where the story was going I checked ahead to make sure and then gave a "1" for personal appeal).
