Some years ago I read a story that started with the mc driving his truck an finding a crashed spacecraft. The alien/ai/nanosomthing? Enter his body/mind. Don't remember what happens (super powers?) after that but the start of the story keeps popping up in my memory

Damn it was island mine. I remember the story fondly but somehow managed to not connect the first chapter with the rest of the story in my memory
