Hey I'm looking for a story about a guy traveling through space fixing problems on worlds. He is a mechanic and ends up fixing old machines. I thought it was by Ka Hmnd but couldnt seem to find it, may have just missed it though.
Only other thing I remember about it is the family is searching for him but he thinks they hate him. Something to do with the mother havijg a disease that makes her manic?
Any info I would really appreciate it.
