Ok, not sure if this one is still on the site. A young man somehow (I forget how) acquires the power to read minds, and then learns he's the beneficiary of a huge ($ hundreds of millions) trust. He travels to NYC with his mom and meets his grandparents. However, unscrupulous lawyers and money managers are trying to control his trust and/or bilk it through blackmail, etc.
