Ok, this was asked by another awhile ago cause I found it here and loved the story. However, apparently I didn't save it, apparently history only saves last 500. Enough rambling.
GI can never get a brake in the army and in life. Girl leaves him and even family takes her side. MC was in a battle and stays with a dieing soldier. Back home, squad takes him out to strip club. Who he later marries. After he dies (cancer?), we find out that the stripper is the sister of the guy who died in his arm.
