I remember reading a story on here that is similar to Ozark Life by Dual Writer in that the MC is going through university and law school and in the process meeting the love of his life, but money does not fall in his lap, his first love breaks up...
I have read it before, it is not the story I am looking for.
The story I am looking for starts before the MC goes to the University, not with him having already graduated and working as a lawyer.

From reading the first few paragraphs about how wealthy his parents were I can see that it is not the story I am looking for, also the MC in the story I am looking for was not born until well after the Vietnam war, he did not use the GI Bill to pay for his education.
I'm having trouble remembering the name and the rest of the story. However, I do remember reading a story something like this some years back. While I can't remember why he ended up in the flat the MC is living in a flat over the garage of a rich family and part of his rent is doing the yard work for the family. He has an on and off relationship with the daughter of the family.

I've recently read an older story with similarities. The MCs first encounter with the daughter was when she arrived home and tried to move back into the flat. Many ruffled feathers, but the daughter eventually became his friend, confidante and occasional bed partner. Can't remember title or author.

It is about a completely different kind of person, I am looking for a story about someone going to Law School, not a pussyhound destined for professional sports.
99.99% of the students on an athletic scholarship for a major sport are there to 'study' that sport not get an education in anything else.
ok, a couple of points there.
1 - I wrote "except that it does not fit the original request". Was that ambiguous?
2 - Your 99.99% is a made-up non-statistic. The way I remember the story, the football was a way to get his law-school paid. Not just that, he succeeded in getting his law degree.
The only part which may not match your original request is the similarities to a story I have never read.
