The MC's father died and he goes to his father's 'ranch' to settle the estate. He finds out his father was a dog breeder and one the dogs needs a vet. The vet and her daughter show up and if I remember correctly they knew each other.
A bad storm traps the vet/daughter at the ranch and an alien shows up in the kitchen saying they are being sent back in time. They debate with the alien and are given time to collect survival items.
They are being hunted while they collect items and end up rescuing friends of the vets daughter before they are all sent back in time.
I didn't get to read any further than that so I don't know what happens once they are sent back.
