The story I'm looking for had a high school student (I think) finding a failed government hypnosis program, debugging it (or perhaps enhancing it) and then having his very own MC device, through which he accumulates a harem, and then has to fight off the original creators of the program.
The story is not Vax's "The Sight" or "The Touch," but that's all I can recall at this point.
