giving the URL of another site isn't seen as being nice now, so it was probably removed due to someone posting the full URL of another story site instead of just the story name and sending you the URL by a PM.
As I recall, he's removed and/or edited individual comments for that before, but not entire threads.

Probably someone lodged a complaint, which is the usual reason for a thread being removed. I don't know the real reason, but that's my guess.
As to the post on the story name - I saw that thread shortly before it was removed. But it's likely other posts after what I saw.
OK than why not block the inappropriate response not the question ?And I have seen a number of replies that point out that a story is on a different site with nolinks
I removed the thread because it was about a story on another site. After the question was answered correctly, I gave it a few hours and you had your answer. After that, there is no reason to keep the thread at all.
If I keep the thread, all it does is point those who check the answer to the story on the other site. Is that what you wanted?
