Story: Mother, son, and sister get caught in blizzard and hole up in motel with attached cafe. Son is rich from developing new type of insurance. Deputy and daughter also take shelter at motel. Deputy gets call about avalanche in nearby development. Son buys snowmobiles and leads rescue effort.
I couldn't find it with advanced search, and am not sure it is even on SOL anymore. I'm sure I have a copy, but don't really want to search through 800+ mb of stories to try to find it.

OK, it's not on Mystic Wolf. The person who wrote the Star Dancer series originally used the pen name of Ellagon the Dragon but has since changed it to, I believe, Eric Storm. In any case that writer is pesona non grata on this web site. IIRC he was kicked off SOL for posting parts of stories here to try to lure readers to a pay site to finish the story. Our host was NOT HAPPY with him. I'm about 80% sure the story was his. If not it was on Gina's site.

Net Wolf became Ice Phoenix and eventually became Eric Storm.
Ellagon the Dragon became Sir Winston (copyright issues over the name or something) and now apparently is The Star Dancer. He was active on Net Wolf's site at the time.
