That is always sad to hear.

I think I am already resigned to the fact that when I pass on, I will simply vanish from here leaving behind only my stories. Nobody in my RL knows of this strange hobby of mine, so will be able to give any kind of update.

But at least my random meanderings will live on.

After a prolonged period of time. I have never hid any of my stories behind a paywall. And even if not here, they live on in say ASSTR and Nifty, which is always free.

I have been posting here for over 18 years, and even I see a great many of my stories appearing on the front page as suggested stories.

And recently I have even been going through my older ones and doing some editing before publishing them onto other sites. And yes, I know if I assume room temperature my stories will move there, but that will take a great many years. Not sure of the exact reasoning why that happens, but there are some authors I have not seen here in many years, and their works are still visible to all.

I don't know whether anyone else feels the same, but I think there's a marked similarity with how the fight scenes in Shaddoth's Axeman escalate.

I'll never pay for premiership because this site a Pedophilia genre with 1308 stories (i just looked to see how many and was horrified by the number) i put up with the incest genre using the dodgy as hell logic that it's legal age but i have my limits and having that genre at all let alone in a pay to read section crosses it.

OK, now to get a bit technical.

The vast majority that are classified as ""Pedophilia" are not actually pedophilia at all.

This is simply the way most people use the word, but it is wrong. The actual word should be used in reference to a sexual attraction to pre-pubescent children, under the age of 12. That is the actual definition, and most use the completely wrong word.

Hebephilia is the correct term for those that have an attraction to pubescent, generally ages 12-14. And Ephebophlia is the correct term for those that are in late adolescence, ages 15 through 19.

If you look, most of those stories are not even "pedophilia", but hebephilia or ephebophilia. Myself, I have aq series that involved ephebophilia. Where at one point the POV character is 18, and his girlfriend is 16. And they started dating at 16 and 14.

Many would say that is "pedophilia", but is it really? Actually, under none of the definitions it is. And in the few cases where in my writings I have thrown in content that might be seen as such, there is a lot more going on than a quick surface read would show.

I think if the genre were correctly defined and stories sorted, that number would drop to almost nothing. Because I have seen very few stories in here involving 10 year olds. And a great many of the remainders actually tend to involve 2 "children" of similar ages, so that does not really count either.

Unless you are going to try and argue that a 13 year old with a 13 year old is pedophilia.
