@Dinsdale(Found this note on her other site.) On or about 16 Sept 2012 a number of Rachael's email accounts were compromised by persons unknown. I found out when I tried to access the email account she'd set up for me as the administrator of her site. The passwords were changed and in truth I only rarely accessed those accounts anyway, just to see if anyone had questions or concerns that I could help with. My worry now is that someone might be using those accounts to injure Rachael's memory.
If you've tried to contact me and have gotten no response, or a reply that may seem questionable, that's the reason.
Rachael was very clear that she didn't want to just turn off her email. She felt that it was important that readers be able to express themselves even if there wasn't anyone at the other end. Feedback, she insisted, was part of the storytelling process. For her, I believe that it was. Exactly how and why her accounts were hacked is very disturbing and I'm still looking for the best way to deal with the situation. Nothing about rache was ever simple.
