Looking for specific Swarm story. I just looked through the entire Universe listing, and none of them rang a bell.
IIRC it takes place in England. Son has the score to be a sponsor, but has been called up to the service. Since he lives way back in the hills, he doesn't get the draft notice until almost too late. While on the way to join up, he and family wind up in an extraction. He thinks he can't go, but finds out that since he hasn't been sworn in yet he is still eligible.
Anyone recognize it?
