I was just re-reading LazLong's Love and Hate and came to the scene where someone trashes M/C's car. That reminded me of a story where someone is brought in to fix a company or something and his car is destroyed (bombed?). He isn't too upset as it was a beater he bought in case something like that happened. May be a dead tree work but I think I read it here several years ago.
Not Six Month Turnaround. In that one the vandal is caught before doing any damage. I'm pretty sure The Reset Manifesto isn't it either. In the one I'm trying to find the M/C has a job/business of being brought in to fix or dismantle failing companies and deliberately buys a beater to drive to work in case it's vandalized. He keeps his nice car in hidden storage until the job's done and he leaves. In the past he's had cars damaged or destroyed. It's much older than TRM and probably older than SMTA.
I was going to make a Road House joke, but Goodreads tells me there actually is a novelization! Holy shit!
