A tank battle in Oregon, followed by a long, cold journey across Montana. Attempted rescue by helicopters - all shot down by the Chinese. The tank crewman and the cheerleader pick up a dropped off sat phone and call in a warning of a Chinese bomber squadron while working their way east over the freezing mountains. Eventually cross the river to the U.S. lines and discover the girl was thought dead and is pregnant.
