Main character is a high school aged boy who ends up with multiple girl friends. He loses them temporarily due to a false rumor. There is some kind of thing with him and a Captain America costume that ends up going viral on YouTube and a competition with the actor who plays Captain America.

Didn't part of G. Younger's "Stupid Boy" have to do with challenges between the MC and Chris' Pratt and Evans? Or am I confusing that with Xalir's work?
In the books available on SOL Stupid Boy does go to Hollywood, there is a confrontation, but not with either of those actors. He does have a viral video with the Millenium Falcon after trying out for the roll of young Han Solo.

G. Younger seems careful not to defame real life persons when they are used as characters in his book, so I doubt it is him.
Whatever story my addled brain is percolating, there was no defamation of anyone involved. Just a friendly rivalry between people. It could just be a pipe dream. No telling with my mind.
