If I recall correctly, he was posting teasers and lazeez kicked him off the site.
That's exactly what happened, but more so. He posted part stories on Sol and then told people to go to his pay site to get the rest of the story. He begged to be allowed back on, then did it again and got kicked a second time and got a permanent kick off the site. He does sell his books through his own pay site.
I actually enjoyed the universe he created and was interested to read the continuation of the story. So when he announced it was available, I went ahead and bought them. But I came away very discouraged, the new book looked like he had probably edited it himself and forgot to use simple spell-check. It was terrible, the spelling not the story. Don't even get me started on the grammar.
I never told him I was disappointed, I just let it go and counted it as a mistake like when you order lunch and they forget to remove the onions from your burger. Disappointing but nothing to become worked up over, so you grab a napkin wipe off the onions and go on to another story. But you always remember reading a pretty cool universe that was created but you will probably never buy from him again.
