do over back to ancient rome era

sunseeker ๐Ÿšซ

I can't remember a lot of the story but hopefully someone can help me with the little I can remember...

guy goes back to ancient rome era, takes over body of a supposed "gladiator" that couldn't fight, "gladiator" was only trying to protect wife.

New guy can fight, gets respect from noble and starts business hauling ash i think. does several businesses, mines etc over the years...

somehow figured out how to make a short trip to his own time...

leads and wins several military battles...

That's all I can remember at the moment. I looked through all the stories with the "doover" tag but didn't see it.

John Wilson, a former SEAL, received a strange note and a ring in the mail. He slipped the ring on and couldn't get it off. He was transported to Roman times and wound up as a gladiator, once he joined the union, that is. Join him as he becomes Janus, one of the most successful gladiators in Roman history. This is his first adventure as he bounces around through time. No overt sex.
