A long, long time ago, I read a "Wagon Train" story of which I can only remember a fragment. I am sure it was here on SOL!
For some reason the women & children took a high path through the mountains, led by an old Trapper (Prospector?) who ended up getting frost bite. The rest of the wagon train took a lower trail that was more dangerous.
Anyone help me out with a title ?
