I think there were three loosely connected books in the series set in a small town - I want to say in the Rockies.
One was about a local musician whose famous ex came back to town and how they reconnected personally and musically.
The next I can't remember -The local sheriff?
Third was about a local who had done porn, and when sodomized on set beat the living out of the other and maybe the director. Tried for assault/attempted murder, sentenced, and is now on parole. Parole officer falls for her. She gets permission to go home to see family.
a big storm shows up and can't get back by report date and panics. The parole officer has to calm her down, not responsible for acts of god etc, and tells her to just check in with the sheriff. Her parole officer retires and they start a relationship.
