I'm sorry, but you guys seem to be the best place to do this. In search of a Star Trek book where Vulcan is having a planet-wide referendum on whether or not to leave the Federation.

Never mind, I found it. 'Spock's World' by Diane Duane. For some reason I have a hankering to reread that one and 'Prime Directive'. Probably triggered by a dump of probably all the Star Trek books in print on alt.binaries.e-book. Oh well, I could be doing worse things, like dishes.
