Odd choice... if I was going to choose a label for one gender only, and that label referred to a group that - based on cycles of the moon - would suddenly morph into violent and destructive unreasoning creatures... I don't think I'd be applying that to men.

Have you seen some of the 33 varieties of gender that have been claimed recently? Someone who has been surgically modified to be a demon will be proud to be called vile but demand you be cancelled on social media for misgendering and claiming they are human.

I don't think the stories are accessible via the wayback machine. The titles (or cover pages) are but that is pretty much as far as it goes.

I didn't check to see if they were, simply offered an option worth trying.
As annoying as it is to no be able to find a story that was available, it is a reminder that authors post their stories here for free, and as such can have them removed upon request.
To me it's a reminder to value their effort and enjoy it whilst I can.

That's extremely pedantic, and I seriously doubt there's a single soul who objects to the pronoun "person" (mainly because there aren't any legitimate alternatives).

I would think it becomes more of a problem as a replacement for "person" because it is non-specific. "Person" directly relates to a human being, while "one" can lead to the question of one what.
Answering that question then can lead to directly head-butting PETA's newest "speciation superiority" cancel culture attempts.

The problem with this entire debate is that the word "man" is actually a derivative of "human", not the other way around. In similar manner, person is not derivative of son, and in fact, there is no relation between them. Besides, attempting to redefine language arbitrarily is folly. Language always develops naturally, which is why constructed languages (or conlang) almost never flow smoothly. There is a reason that languages have gendered nouns and pronouns. They are based on biological reality. For anyone who wants to argue that "sex" and "gender" don't mean the same thing, I point to the origin of the word "gender", which dates to the Victorian age, when sexual expression was suppressed due to Queen Victoria's obsessive repression. It was created by scientists from "genesis" or "creation of life", thus gender is identical in meaning to sex (as a noun). Political correctness and trying to avoid offense at all cost (especially at the cost of speaking the truth or presenting facts) are both ridiculous, and flies in the face of individual rights.

I recall they got a bunch of concessions for being crazy enough to sign on with 'murica, like being authorized to divide themselves into six states if they feel like it, or something like that, but did they also get a decent exit clause like the rest of the South should've held out for at the beginning?
