You know, you could exchange email addresses through the sites private messaging instead of posting them on the forum.
I thought that only worked for communicating with authors, reviewers or editors. I must admit I'd have supplied the address above as something like @gmail.com

An author can reply to messages from readers on the SOL messaging system, so it's certainly possible to send messages to members who aren't authors or editors.
That said, I haven't really looked into how you would initiate a conversation outside of the feedback to authors.
ETA:
Even if reader to reader private messages can't be done, it's still a really bad idea to post email addresses in public or semi-public forums.
What I have seen done previously is removing the email address from the post after the request is fulfilled; a note saying that that has been done in place of the email addy prevents people like me from wondering how they expect to get their stuff without posting the email address.
Which, of course, is how I leartned about this option, having made a comment concerning the lack of an email address being given. Which is why I suggest a note saying that it was removed since no longer needed.

Perhaps, but it doesn't prevent a potentially malicious lurker from also getting the email address and trying to either hack your email and/or phish you for the purpose of turning you email account into a spam bot.
Unless it's a throw away or a spam honey pot, email addresses should never be posted in public or semi-public internet forums. Coming back later and editing the post to remove the email address later is not enough.
