I recall a story, thought the name was going feet first. MC is transported somehow to a magical world, and one scene I remember is a goddess type lady reading his mind to figure out electricity to run a gun in a crashed airplane of some sort. It was an ambush if I recall.
The paratrooper's hymn may have been part of it too or that might be all in my head. (Gory, Gory, what a hell of a way to die)
