ayep I think it may be book 2, not sure which one, but it's there - here's the link to the series

Thanks, guys: the "Stupid Boy" series makes sense since I stopped reading it quite a while ago when I realised that by the time there was enough out there for it to be worth reading again, I'd have forgotten what came before and have to start reading again from the beginning. I'll do so only when "Senior Year" is complete ... and I'm sure that there ain't gonna be a "Senior year part 7" or suchlike.
I hate finding that I been reading a tale that isn't in fact complete, especially when the author has failed to find a satisfying break point. When I become Dictator Of The Universe I shall rule that all such authors be locked in a cold, damp dungeon and not released until the relevant work has been completed, edited and posted. And even that draconian measure won't be failsafe: would you believe that some authors have the temerity to die leaving their posted stories incomplete? This, people, is totally unacceptable behaviour.

Assuming G Younger doesn't die or find something better to do, it seems likely to me that David (the Stupid Boy) is likely to go to college, play University and professional sports, continue to be a movie star and model, find even more women to satisfy, run businesses or at least farms, and grow up, possibly to be a politician. Why not the White House? If Trump can do it, why not our hero, who has lots more name recognition. Of course he has to be at least 35 to run.

If you are talking about stories that the author abandoned I can agree with you - up to a point.
Granted, it depends on my mood, but I occasionally have mentally "completed" stories where the author has died or abandoned the story. Sometimes I picture some of the questions being solved. In others, I might add a scene that indicates the story ended because of a catastrophe that killed off the cast of the story.
I am more likely to imagine the second type of ending for those stories where the author has become hostile to at least a group of individuals that at one point thought their stories interesting to read.

I've put a number of very good stories on SOL on the back burner for that very reason. It's a big enough PITA trying to juggle a dozen or more ongoing stories at the same time. I'm old and forgetful. When the author takes weeks, or even a month or longer, between new chapters there's just no way I can keep the story fresh in my head. I just hope the authors of some of the really good ones finish them before I'm too senile to read them, or dead.
As much as i love jay c and his stories and the fact he actually researches things i hate having to wait 2yrs for the next bk like we must to enjoy them.maybe jay c can hire minions to do the fact checking

From the substantial royalties he receives for those stories?
If he did/does publish other works I have no doubt he would be rewarded.just tell me when and where to go for it.
He put up a blog entry around the time he started posting Learning Curves - or possibly even before that. Someone had offered him money for his stories. He thought about it and then turned it down, this is his hobby.
