Well, that depends how you interpret the word "relationship" in saves and starts a relationship with former antagonist. Larry Niven never went past friendship and Kzin females are only borderline sentient anyway.

...but, from Ringworld we know that mating between Human female and Kzin male is not possible, as in seriously injurious to the female - this is why Luis Wu rather than Speaker-to-Animals had to perform rishathra to conclude their negotiations with the Grass Giants.

I've read only some of the Man-Kzin-Wars stories about 20 years ago, so probably I never read this. Don't think I read it and forgot it, it's one of those odd titbits I always remember.
