Hi I'm looking for a story I read some time ago (few years) and I just can't find it anywhere nor remember the title
it's about a guy in jail (framed by his GF or wife IIRC)
while in the infirmary he meet an old man about to die who transmit him some mind control powers
once released he get even with his wife and lawyer by enslaving them after he finds out they both are lovers
does that synopsis rings some bells in your memories ?

unfortunately for me I was looking more specifically for a scene that I remember hardly more than fuzzily and it looks like it is not in that story (T_T)

Even if its not the one. Its well worth the time to read it. A well written story that can let the imagination roam free for a while.

I've read it twice already and enjoyed it a lot
although I've always thought the end was too abrupt, the advertised sequel "Apache Nation" probably hold the answers to my questions alas it's not on the site if if ever was published :(

Oh well its still worth reading anyway. It falls into one of my major requirements. It fires up my imagination and lets me see all kinds of possibilities. It also does other things as well. The entertainment value is just a small part of any good story. Yours also fit the requirements Ernest (in case you wonder).
Last time I exchanged emails with The Scot he was very busy with work and personal issues to do any writing then. He was also thinking about some revisions to Hawk but hadn't made up his mind yet. He had finished WTF but I pointed out a couple of items I felt he needed to fix in it before posting - he was considering that and hadn't reached a decision.
