Looking for a specific fantasy story. It's similar to Sea King.

Two brothers who are princes on an island. Slavery which they are trying to get rid of. There is another island where slavery is illegal. War between these islands.

I think should be enough.

Sounds familiar, is there a "prince Marcos" or Macros in there?

It could be the Tales of Tanitsar by Argon.

The lead character's name is Macro, so it may well be what Harold Wilson is thinking of.

Oddly enough, I thought it might have been an Argon story but didn't pay enough attention when scanning through his list of stories.
