guy is woken up in the middle of the night, and told that he has won a prize. That prize is a spaceship. He must participate in an alien breeding program, and in certain promotions. He causes them some problems, takes his cat back to Earth, is missed by an assassination attempt, has the alien woman he falls in love with killed, and a few other things. Not quite. He removed it because he got a publishing deal with a traditional publisher, which fell-through (no explanation for why), so the story lay in limbo for years until he eventually self-published it. It's also available on Amazon, which is where I bought it, but it's no longer the version which was once on SOL (I never read it on ASSTR, so have no idea whether it's the same or not, but I imagine it was posted before he yanked the SOL version).
