Looking for a story I read a while back about a man that rents an apartment in a run down building. He gets involved with some of the younger neighbors. Ends up buying the building and renovating it. He then buys another apartment building and does the same. He finds that he also owns a garage behind the first building containing antique vehicles, cases of alcohol, and evidence of a 'girl sharing' club.
