anyone know what happened to veritas?????
I'm still around. I haven't been writing much, because I finally became employed, and my job is taking most of my attention and will to write. What I have been writing, I'm keeping to myself, partially because I might try self-publishing, and partially because when I write/post something chapter by chapter, I have an overwhelming need to do little, but numerous rewrites
Short story, I'm alive and still writing, but there's no guarantee when I'll restart posting.
Thanks to everyone who has praised my amateurish and incomplete work and who want more. Bless you and I'll sincerely try to make it happen.

What many (okay, some) of us do, is to write the entire story upfront, so we can clean and prune it to make it a more dynamic story, then publish it, and then, after a month or two, when the sales start to drop off, post to SOL in order to boost the flagging sales.
You may also consider publishing via pre-order, thought there's some problems with that method. Amazon mungles pre-order orders (marking the sales on the date of the order, rather than the date of release which helps boost sales numbers to drive additional sales like on smashwords).
If you want to talk publishing specifics, drop me a private note and I'll walk you through many of the details.

I resemble that remark. I complete a story before I post it, and I've got four editors, and we still miss some typos that make it through to the posted version. However, the readers have a tendency to report them, so a revised version fixing them is posted a few weeks after the last chapter is posted. Almost every time I re-read one of my story just for relaxation I spot something I could've worded better, and that often results in a revised version which then goes through the whole editorial system again.
Real life often gets in the way, which is why I usually have a couple of dozen part written stories I'm working on at any one time. I also self-publish via Lulu and do OK with them.
