Post-Apocalypse/Coming War/Global Warming

cooldude2590

A story where the MC has created a self-sustaining highly sheltered farm environment for everything like food, wood, machinery & tools(forge), power, ammunition etc. Can be in a cave or underground bunker or old missile silo. Gathers his family and friends during war or apocalypse.

Have read some of the following-
1. My Race is Royal
2. The Ark
3. Initium-novum
4. Gold
5. Sanctuary series
6. In a Secret Garden
7. Bio-terrorism Aftermath

I have been looking for this story forever aswell. The MC created a shelter in a cave and once his people emerge, they battle for control of the country side. They get into military storages and become the new government in the area where the u.s. is now.

Nanovirus, while a great read, is for the original poster, no cave involved, just tunnels and bunkers. The hired help was already on secret military bases when they started to take control.

cooldude2590 did specify that it could be a bunker.

This is Getting By by Shakes Peer2B.

The terrorists finally got a bio-weapon and released it in Western countries. They didn't count on it spreading so fast or killing so effectively. When the dust settles there is only a very small percentage of the human population remaining. This is the story of one group, led by Gavin Thompson, on a mission to resurrect humanity. This story begins the 'Post-Sickness' saga. Read it first.

This is the sequel:

Getting Ahead by Shakes Peer2B.

It's only four years after Gavin Thompson's disappearance, but around the fringes of the new nation of Phoenicia, trouble is brewing. Useful pre-sickness artifacts are becoming rare, and the scavs and barbs are banding together to see if they can't take some of what Phoenicia has. The President's sister, Sophie Chen-Thompson makes it her personal mission to see that no other little girls have to wait for fathers who aren't coming home... Read 'Getting By' before you read this.

Sorry, but I usually don't add author link when the link is to a series or universe. My reason for adding author link, is so that it's easy for members to read the story description, without using up their download limit.

But I will edit the previous post, so that your author page is mentioned.

A better way (because you can limit it to just the story of interest) is usually to do a (quick) search (from the home page); if this returns just one result, then copy the 'sort by title' link.

If there's more than one title match, the author can be manually added to the search: sort by author, then edit the last two clauses 'sf=author_name&so=asc' to be 'author=', where is the author name with any spaces replaced by + and other special characters replaced by _ e.g.:
https://storiesonline.net/library/search.php?cmd=Start+Search&title=samantha&author=Michael+Loucks

I don't think your solution is something I would use, but, it's still possible for anyone to try that. And I can see that it could be good, but I do what is easy for me and beneficial for the reader.
