High School Baseball Story

Can't find it now, but I remember following a story about a kid entering high school that involved baseball. The kid lived with just his mom (I think) and had anger issues that got him kicked out of Little League, but he wanted to play in high school. I think the high school coach was a relative of the guy who kicked him out of Little League, so that was a problem as well.

I remember it updated pretty consistently a year or two back, then stopped, so I lost track of it. Don't know if it got picked back up or abandoned, but I'm interested in a re-read either way.

Would also appreciate recommendations of similar stories (but not ones that are already tagged with the "Sports" tag, since I've mostly read those).

It reminds me of Foul Ball - Sophomore Year by Mindmeld.

That's what came to my mind first, be he says to ignore those with a sports tag, which that has. And Oh boy didn't used to have one.

The info he gives also reminds me of a couple of other HS stories, but they revolve around football not baseball.

The sports tag isn't that old, and many of the older stories don't have it. However, if you find one and send an email about it to the webmaster Lazeez will review the story, contact the author, and apply the tag if he thinks it should be there. This is true for any tag.

Two stories that I can recommend are Stupid Boy if you enjoy football theme and Defenseman if you enjoy hockey. Both excellent stories

Living next door to Heaven by Aroslav has a significant section dedicated to basketball, with the complimentary tournament drama. The same with SmokinDriver's Nick, High School with female volleyball.

The Jack and Jill stories by Old Fart feature some volleyball, but not as a major feature of the story. There is enough description to be interesting, but competition is not a major feature of the story.

I do wish he would come back and finish J & J Enterprises, and whatever books after that he had planned. Again, we see the results of a few a**hats ruining things for the rest of us.
