Young man has 2 girlfriends that live in a different town. The parents of one of them give him a summer job as an intern in their restaurant. He learns their recipes and contributes some of his. I remember him learning how to slow cook prime-rib over a bed of rock salt which was the restaurants signature dish. So far all of my searches have failed to turn up the story.
