I'm hoping someone out there can help me. I'm looking for a story about a man who lives in the mountains and crosses a stream, climbs under a mountain and finds a ship buried inside. He rescues the aliens, and helps save their empire. Can anyone think of the name of this story? I've tried to sea h for space and aliens but no luck. I remember it being a rather long story, about 1000 k or so.
Any help would be appreciated...
