Lost story and author name
This a story I read awhile ago. What I remember of the first part is the MC is a boy is riding some kind of animal and comes to a village/town that is/was attacked. He saves a girl who's mother was the leader/elder.
It came out that he a orphan. I do not remember how but was forced out of his clan/tribe.
Some where in the story he goes back to his clan/tribe and his animal become the leader of all of the wild one like him.
